Hi everyone, we hope you are well and life is in some ways at least returning to a "new normal" as the world continues to deal with the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In terms of Karate it's kind of a mixed bag in terms of where we are:
The School is not hiring the venue currently and has no plan to do so during September.
Pontesbury Members - do you know of any possible alternative venues? Please get involved and aid Sensei Lou to get YOUR dojo back up running.
Will re-open for live classes on Monday 7th September at the Elim Church Ludlow.
Builth Wells Dojo
The Jubilee Hall has not re-opened yet, the people that manage the hall are going through the government guidelines that effect them but there is no immediate sign of re-opening.
Builth Dojo Members - do you know of any possible alternative venues? Please get involved and aid Sensei Lou to get YOUR dojo back up running.
The Freedom Leisure have chosen not to hire to Clubs as they re-opened, focussing only on their own activities. Despite exhaustive efforts to find an alternative venue we have had no joy.
Options now are
1) Look for a venue in a surrounding village / town which will mean a short journey for members.
2) Move the Club temporarily to a Wednesday evening - there was greater hall availability on a Weds.
Brecon members let me know what you think.
Will re-open for live classes on Weds 9th September at the Public Hall in Bromyard. *This a temporary venue as The Bromyard Centre is closed due to vandalism
Sensei Alan will not be re-opening the Dojo until training can can return to normal practise post Covid-19 restrictions.
The Lantern has not started hiring to clubs yet, the people that manage the hall are going through the government guidelines that effect them but there is no immediate sign of re-opening.
Lantern Dojo Members - do you know of any possible alternative venues? Please get involved and aid Sensei Lou to get YOUR dojo back up running.
Will re-open for live classes on Thursday 10th September at Bridges.
Will re-open for live classes on Friday 11th September at Hinton Community Centre Gym.
As you can see times are challenging to get things back up and running.
